Welcome to Viper Garage!

My name is Philippe. I’m an engineer and lifelong aviation enthusiast with several hundred hours of flight time on various aircraft, ranging from the Cessna 172, Robin DR400, SR20 and 22 and a few hours logged on L-39 Albatros. Alongside my flying experience, I’ve always been fascinated by flight simulation. Watching the progress made since the very first PC titles of the 1990s has been nothing short of incredible.

During my studies in aeronautical engineering, I had the chance to get hands-on experience with professional-level simulation, even contributing to the physics models of a well-known Airbus A320 add-on—originally released for P3D and now available for FS2024. Those opportunities made me realize just how powerful and immersive flight simulation can be.

Among all the aircraft, I’ve developed a special connection with the F-16. Flying it in both Falcon BMS and DCS gave me the idea—during the COVID period—to go one step further: building my own home cockpit. After some research into 3D design, cutting techniques, and 3D printing, the adventure began.

This blog is where I’ll share that journey: the ideas, the build process, the challenges, and the little victories along the way. If you’re passionate about aviation, flight simulation, or just curious about what it takes to bring a fighter cockpit to life at home—welcome aboard!
